J. D. Perry to Address Chamber EBR Tuesday
NATIONAL ECONOMIC OUTLOOK: THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY. The Chamber of Commerce of East Baton Rouge will host a discussion on the U. S. economy led by J. D. Perry, CEO of JP Global Capital Management and manager of the Troika I Fund, LP. Perry is expected to touch on a wide range of topics during his speech, which is titled, “The U.S. Economy: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.” He will answer questions.
The meeting will be held this Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Café Américain, 7521 Jefferson Hwy. with the reception at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at 12 noon. Perry, whose firm manages a large portfolio of investments, is based in Baton Rouge. He earned a B.A. in finance from Lamar University, an M.B.A. from the University of Houston, and an M.A. from Liberty University.
He has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street Week. He was a frequent guest on “Ask the Expert” on CBS-TV. Known as a tenacious and enthusiastic executive, Perry has spent his entire career as an institutional investment manager and has worked in a co-manager relationship with some of the country’s largest and most successful asset management groups.
The meeting is open to business owners in the Baton Rouge, guests, and members of the news media. Reservations are not necessary. Lunch is $15, payable to the restaurant at the door. Lunch is complimentary for working media.
New officers will be installed for 2014. The new chairman will be Cecil Cavanaugh. The Chamber EBR is devoted to small business owners in East Baton Rouge Parish. It is affiliated with the U. S. Chamber of Commerce. The Executive Committee of the Chamber EBR will hold its monthly meeting at the conclusion of the luncheon.
